The Art of Tarot

Tarrochi, the 78 card game of 15th Century Italy, is known today as Tarot.

Beautifully illustrated suits with associated numbers representing pivotal rituals in life, these cards became vehicles for psychic voice in France about 300 years later, assigning magic to the traditional depictions.

I found myself drawn to a deck that was randomly gifted to me. Energetically I wanted to use them. But first, I needed to know them.

I took some time with reading various historical accounts, perspectives on artistic classicism, rules of the original game and met them alongside recounts of people’s experiences and seeking, shared and sacred, respecting the unique and creative avenues to bring mindfulness and awareness into our lives.

As I continue my learning and teaching in service to our inner nature, our wholeness, I am reminded of the many ways we can both speak with and listen to each other. The teacher in me, sees and recognizes the teacher in you.

Namaste 🙏
